I found astrology because everything fell apart.

A few years ago, I started to lose everything out of nowhere. Things I had worked for my entire life. People I loved. The ground underneath me. The kind of period where you wait for it to stop and it just doesn't stop.

I'd been into astrology for a while but only at the surface. Sun signs, personality traits, the basics. It wasn't until I went deeper into transits and houses that I realized what it could actually unlock. That's when I found my answer.

Pluto had been opposite Venus, sitting across my 7th and 8th house cusp. Then right behind it: Pluto conjunct my Moon in my 2nd house. Back to back. A wrecking ball through everything I held close and everything I thought I owned. All gone.

Suddenly, something made sense. For the first time in years.

Not in a fatalistic way. In a 'this is what was actually happening' way. The losses weren't random. The timing wasn't random. The specific nature of what I was losing, and why it hurt the way it did, was written in the sky. I had just never been able to read it.

I decided to stop fighting it and work with what was happening instead. It changed my life.

I became obsessed.

I started doing astrology manually. Looking up every transit, every aspect, every person in my life. Mapping moments. Going back in time to years that had broken me and finally understanding what I was looking at. Going forward and seeing what was coming.

But manual research has no memory. No conversation. Every time I wanted to go somewhere new I had to start over from zero. And there was so much to explore. Every moment in time. Every person. Every pattern I had been living inside without being able to see it clearly.

No app could do what I actually needed.

So I built Starri.
