Oh Starri ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and use the app:

• Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Birth data: Date, time, and location of birth for chart calculations
• Earthly charts: Birth data for other people you add (friends, family, partners)
• Chat history: Conversations with Starri, stored to your account
• Device tokens: Push notification tokens if you opt into notifications

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Oh Starri experience:

• Calculate your natal chart and transit data
• Generate personalized astrological readings via Starri
• Sync your data across devices
• Send push notifications about astrological events (only if you opt in)
• Process and manage your subscription

Third-Party Services

Oh Starri uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — powers Starri's AI responses. Conversations are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
• Stripe — payment processing. We do not store credit card information. See stripe.com/privacy.
• Render — app hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.

Birth Data and Third-Party Charts

When you add birth data for another person (an "Earthly"), you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permission to store that person's information. We do not independently verify consent. Please only add people whose data you have a right to use.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law to retain it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time in your device settings

Children's Privacy

Oh Starri is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
